When is the Test for Medical Dental College reconducted?
According to Health Secretary Mahmood Aslam Wazir, the Test for Medical Dental College will be reconducted on the coming of 19th November in Khyber Medical University (KMU). By letter dated October 10, PMDC, the country’s regulatory body for medical education, was informed that the provincial government has canceled MDCAT and instructed the KMU to retake it fairly and transparently. A judgment by the Peshawar High Court (PHC) on October 9 directed PMDC to notify the provincial government of the date for re-conducting the test within six weeks.
Why is the test going to be Reconducted?
The decision to re-conduct medical and dental college entrance exams stems from the recognition of the challenges faced by students during the initial tests. Technical glitches, unfair examination conditions, or unforeseen circumstances may have affected the performance of many candidates. This retest provides a fair opportunity for all deserving candidates to showcase their abilities without any hindrance.
Fee Of MDCAT
Those candidates who appeared the last time and are going to reappear on the 19th of November will not pay the fee. Last time there were 46,612 candidates who appeared and any candidate from that who is going to reappear will not have to pay the fee. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa University will not receive fees from candidates who have already registered for MDCAT 2023.
